Full ceramic crowns
Full ceramic crowns are a restoration tooth shaped cap made entirely of a glass like material, such as porcelain. These crowns are primarily used for aesthetic properties due to their translucent and natural look compared to all metal restorations because they are created to be placed on a broken, decayed, stained, or deformed tooth. These ceramic crowns are highly biocompatible and do not have any allergic reactions. They are ideally for patients who have a reduced space in their mouth, and they are recommended for front teeth restoration.
However, they have their disadvantages as well, full ceramic crowns are not as strong as metal crowns and without proper care, they might not last long. Also, patients who grind their teeth are recommended to opt for gold crowns.
